About Susie Hoffpauir

Susie Hoffpauir Wildlife and landscape photographer, Susie Hoffpauir, has made her home in southern Louisiana for over 20 years. She has always appreciated the natural beauty of Louisiana and is passionate about capturing wildlife and beautiful landscapes that are unique to this region.

She devotes much time working to get the perfect shot that is very clear and shows the subjects in great detail. She appreciates different types of photography shots, but prefers wildlife close-ups so that viewer can see all of the intricate details that might be missed in a more distant photo.

Susie also loves capturing the majesty of the bald cypress trees that grace the Louisiana landscape. These old souls are fantastic subjects in sunrise and sunset landscape photography and can be beautifully showcased by a colorful sky.

There are so many photography opportunities in Louisiana, but some of Susie's favorite areas for photographing wildlife are the Atchafalaya Basin, St. Martin Lake and Avery Island. Louisiana offers a diverse and abundant wildlife population, and with much patience, a good eye and a little luck, great photography opportunities are ample!
